Microsoft Windows XP User Introduction

Course Aims

This one day training course in MS Windows XP provides users with a powerful graphical desktop and entry level networking environment. On completion of the course participants will understand the terminology of Windows XP; be able to use a mouse, the browser style interface, menus and scroll bars, make selections and activate processes; understand how to pass data to other users and applications; and use Windows XP tools and utilities to improve their own and workgroup productivity.

Target Audience

Intending, new or recent MS Windows XP users who will be using Windows and network based applications. This is essential training for anyone who will be attending applications software product courses. This is not a conversion course for MS Windows 3.x or Windows 95 users.

Assumed Knowledge

A basic understanding of PCs and a standard keyboard layout as gained from attendance on a "PC Introduction" course or from past experience. No experience of networking is required.
